HOSPITALITY

PARKING TEAM
Men and women will serve on the team 1 or 2 Sundays a month, during the second service. Their duties are to direct traffic with a smile, and assist any need that might arise. (Single mom with little ones, those with a disability, etc.) Time commitments range from 6 months to a year.

GREETER
Men and women will serve on a team once a month, in either the first or second service. Arrive 20 minutes before your service start time and stay until 10 minutes after it has begun. Warmly greet Calvary family and guests and offer a bulletin. Time commitments range from 6 months to a year.

USHERS
Men and women will serve on a team 1 or 2 Sundays a month, in either the first or second service. They assist guests with seating or directions as needed, take up offering and facilitate service flow. Time commitments range from 6 months to a year.

SANCTUARY HOSTS
This group is responsible for helping create an inviting, friendly atmosphere in the sanctuary. If you are relaxed and hospitable, this group is for you! Time commitment is 6 months to a year.

WELCOME CENTERS
We strive to be the information hub at Calvary. Welcome Center volunteers serve during morning services or during special events. Time commitment is 6 months to a year.

THE LANDING
Ah, coffee! What a great setting for facilitating community. These servers work before either the first or second service once a month.

COMMUNION PREP TEAM
We are looking for a couple to be trained to be a back up for this team. Duties include filling the communion trays, placing them in the sanctuary, and returning them to the kitchen after the service. Time commitment is a year.

LOVING HANDS FOOD TEAM
This team ministers to those leaving the hospital or those who have a newborn. They also can be called on to supplement the meal for a funeral. Members rotate taking one of three meals, as a need arises. Time commitments range from 6 months to a year.

CARD TEAM
This team uses cards and thoughtful words to encourage people who find themselves in various challenging or life-altering situations. Each member sponsors one month per year. Time commitment is one year.

HOSPITAL VISITATION TEAM
This team is trained to visit those who find themselves in a hospital for a period of time. They are there for support, encouragement, and as a prayer base. Time commitments range from 6 months to a year.

SERVING OUR SENIORS (SOS)
SOS is a ministry that extends a loving, caring touch to our seniors here at Calvary and the community. Whether a person is a shut-in or simply one who needs some special attention, we want to be that hand extended to them.

GRIEF SHARE
This team comes alongside those who are coping with the recent loss of a loved one. We offer hope, perspective and are trained to provide the tools needed to make it through their difficult time. Let us know if you’re interested in learning more about the Grief Share team.

YOUTH

In an effort to protect our children, you must have attended Calvary six months, passed a background check and completed the Child Protection Program.

CAFE´
Help serve in the cafe selling snacks and drinks before service. Will also need to clean up kitchen if necessary. Will be required to arrive 45 minutes prior to service, basic kitchen skill are also required. This is a six month commitment on a rotation.

CHECK-IN MONITOR
Get students checked in before service and help answer any questions about upcoming events. Will be required to arrive 30 minutes prior to service and have some knowledge of how to use an iPad. This is a six month commitment on a rotation.

FINE ARTS COACHES
Help develop and facilitate the missions of developing students in different gifts and talents through different types of arts. Must have knowledge or experience in desired area. Time commitment is during the Fine Arts season of December through August with weekly or bi-weekly practices.

MENTORS
Encourage a small group of teens through prayer, sending messages from time to time, and building relationships with teens through displaying a Godly example. This is a six month commitment on rotation.

GREETERS
Greet and hang out with students in the lobby as our goal is to make everyone feel like a rock star! Will be required to arrive 30 minutes prior to service. This is a six month commitment on a rotation.

HOST
Welcome new guests, help them sign in, introduce them to other students, and offer them a free drink and snack from the cafe. Will be required to arrive 30 minutes prior to service. This is a six month commitment on a rotation.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS
Help with training and discipleship of students through a small group setting on Sunday mornings at 9:00am. Should be confident in leading a small group setting. Commitment is Sunday mornings on rotation for six months.

TRIP CHAPERONES
Help with transportation and monitoring students on various trips throughout the year. Commitment is at various times of the year when there are trips.

KIDS ZONE (CHILDREN)

CHECK-IN COORDINATORS
Adults serve one Sunday a month during both 9am and 10:45am services, or 2 Wednesdays a month at 7pm. Coordinators are the first impression of the children’s ministry at Calvary Church. They greet and securely check kids into their age appropriate rooms, Birth to 6th Grade. Time commitment is one year. Arrive 15 minutes before service.

SPECIAL NEEDS BUDDIES
These adults serve as a one-on-one buddy, one Sunday a month during either Sunday morning service. They accompany students to their classroom enabling them to worship and be taught the love of Jesus. Time commitment ranges from 6 months to one year. Arrive 15 minutes before service.

10:45AM TEAM ELEMENTARY TEACHERS
Two Sundays a month during the 10:45am service this team of adults and teens share the lesson presentation to students 6yr-3rd Grade. Activities include, Bible lesson, worship, object lesson, games, crafts, puppets, gifted storytellers, skit actors and small group leaders. Time commitment ranges from 6 months to one year. Arrive 15 minutes before service time.

10:45AM TEAM 5/KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS
Two Sundays a month during the 10:45am service this team of adults and teens share the lesson presentation to student’s 5yr-Kindergarten. Kids will be involved in worship, active play, object lessons, puppets, prayer, video and drama that will teach God’s Word and purpose for their lives. Time commitment ranges from 6 months to one year. Arrive 15 minutes before service time.

10:45AM TEAM PRE-TEEN TEACHERS
Two Sundays a month during the 10:45am service this team of adults and teens share the lesson presentation to students 4th-6th Grade. Activities include, illustrative sermons, worship, media elements, and interactive games. Time commitment ranges from 6 months to one year. Arrive 15 minutes before service time.

NURSERY
Adults serve on a team once a month in either the 9am or 10:45am Sunday services or 7pm on Wednesdays. They minister to babies and toddlers during service times showing them the love of Jesus in a safe and nurturing environment. Time commitment is one year. Arrive 15 minutes before service.

PRESCHOOL TEACHERS
Adults serve on a team once or twice a month in either the 9am or 10:45am Sunday services. Preschool spends time engaged in-group activity, Bible lessons, making crafts and enjoying snacks. All lessons and craft prep are done for you. Time commitment is one year. Arrive 15 minutes before service.

RAINBOWS PRESCHOOL CLUB
Teachers and assistants lead our 3yr-PreK kids on Wednesday nights using an exciting Noah’s Ark theme to teach Bible stories, crafts, and games to these preschoolers. Time commitment ranges from 6 months to one year every Wednesday. Arrive 15 minutes before service.

M’PACT GIRLS CLUB LEADERS
Leaders and Class Helpers disciple and build relationships with girls in age appropriate small groups from K-5th grade. Time commitment ranges from 6 months to one year every Wednesday. Arrive 15 minutes before service.

ROYAL RANGERS BOYS CLUB LEADERS
Commanders and Assistant Commanders disciple, build relationships, and lead activities related to community and outdoors. They mentor boy’s age’s K-6th grade. Time commitment ranges from 6 months to one year every Wednesday. Arrive 15 minutes before service.

JUNIOR BIBLE QUIZ
Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Officials help students K-6th grade learn Bible facts, memorize Scripture and then once a month compete with other students across North Carolina. Time commitment is during the JBQ season September – April with weekly practices on Tuesday and/or one Saturday a month for Quiz Meets. Arrive 15 minutes before start time.

SEASONAL EVENTS
Extra hands are always needed at special events – Fall Festival, Easter Eggstravaganza, VBS and Kids Camp. Your help is needed with various duties depending on the event such as: teachers, camp counselors, room monitors, and set-up/tear-down.

GO TEAM
The Go Team meets weekly and engages in various outreaches – First-time guest visitation, evangelism, kid’s programs, clothes and food distribution.

URBAN MINISTRIES
Throughout the year this team prepares meals and serves at Urban Ministries.

PRISON MINISTRIES
We minister to three different prisons throughout the Triad.
